Like Towers We Fall
On this day not long gone, though some think it the past.
When in truth only one year, and a decade has passed.
The world first turned its eye upon the debris.
As our City of Cities, fell to its knees.
As a nation we stood up united and strong.
For one shining moment we all sang the song.
The land of the free and the home of the brave.
We rejoiced in the news, of each survivor they saved.
I look at my nation eleven years later.
As the people who stood up have started to waver.
We fight about healthcare, religion, and change.
A country united, or a country estranged?
Together we stand or like towers we fal
Life is a never ending melody, a song echoing throughout the ages. Each of us is given but one chance to contribute our verse.
Without doubt our addition must inevitably come to an end and we must pass this responsibility on to those who come after.
When that day arrives our successors will either look back and sing the lines we left in our time, or our part of the story will fade into obscurity.
Until that day presents itself we must be vigilant.
We must strive to make the lyric memorable.
The future of the song lies before us. Allons-y my friends, let us go there, and make it worthy of remembrance ~Trey Jewell 2010
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
I know I'll die, before I wake.
This wound is more than I can take.
I Pray for those I leave behind.
May they forgive me, in their time.
I will not see the morning light.
So Lord, be with me through the night.
If I am to be released.
Then I pray to rest in peace.
Lord please forgive me for this sin.
My strength was fleeting in the end.
I've always been the one who could stand up on my own
Never afraid to walk through this world alone
A ship in rough waters that could always reach the shore
But the strange thing is that just aint me anymore
No that's not me anymore
And the world around me is changing and it'll never be the same
And deep down I know Ive only got my self to blame
I took a lot for granted and thats how I lost you
But the strange thing is that at the time I didnt have a clue
No I didn't have a clue
I know that Im supposed to be strong
But now that youre gone
I cant live
No I cant live
Whats living' wi
You know I've always been the one to care,
When it's said and done, I'll be the one, whos standing there,
But at the end of the day its true,
Love is a game to you,
Yea, its true,
Loves a game to you
It took me a while to open up my eyes
Took me a while to wade through all your lies
Looking back I guess I really always knew
That love is just a game to you
Yea, its true; love is a game to you
Tell me its not true, Ooh, love is a game to you
Yes it took a while to understand
How I'll never be, never be good enough to be your man
It took a while to realize
Much to my surprise
Loves a game to yo

It's "Merry Christmas" not "Happy Hollidays". If that offends you have a nice hot cup of get over it. Seriously what is up with this country... Every time I blink it's like we're trying to keep from offending a new group of people... Then in the end more people are offended by "happy hollidays" than anyone ever was from "Merry Christmas"
Time is a real funny thing isn't it? Here lately I've found myself rather obsessed with time, or rather the lack there of. I've come to realize over the past few months that time is the one thing none of us really have. In this day and age we all seem to be in overdrive. 24 hours just isn't enough to get everything done. Work, school, careers, dreams we're all chasing something, putting everything we've got into scraping together a future, and really the one thing we're not promised, is tomorrow.
I have someone close to me who's very sick and he or she (without meaning to) really made me take a look at my life. I've wasted so much time stres
